Our systems use the best technology, are designed to the latest standards and are proven in thousands of implementations. The management team at WebWayOne has worked together for 15 years. The WebWay commitment remains that, we will always be open and auditable, we will never let you down, and we are committed to a continual improvement of our products and services. WebWay 2424 is used by major retailers across the UK and Europe, in many high risk locations. The WebWay 2424 service can be purchased from all major UK alarm receiving centres. You are welcome to visit us for a demonstration of the WebWay 2424 ATS at any time.

2000 to 2003

WebWayOne Ltd was established in January 2000. Our experienced development team was chosen by Global Crossing and Camelot to supply 30,000 ISDN systems for the transmission of National Lottery ticket data. In October 2007 the solution transmitted data for 3 million transactions in a single hour for the Euro Millions draw. The WebWay 2424 solution, available to the security industry today, is a genesis from that solution, delivering high scalability, resilience and reliability in a distributed architecture.

During the early years, WebWayOne provided security signalling solutions for major corporations including Tesco, TM Retail, BT redcare, BAA and Qinetiq. We identified a major gap in the security industry for a fully integrated and managed solution for alarm signalling with remote alarm panel management. We envisaged a more direct connection between the protected premises with fully redundant ARC based (BS5979) monitoring centre transceivers. The WebWay 2424 signalling solution was born.

2004

WebWayOne Ltd attained ISO 9001 accreditation in 2004.

In the same year we were accepted as a member of the BSIA.

WebWay 2424 Gateway Receivers were installed in national alarm receiving centres including Chubb, CPS, Custodian, EMCS, G4S, Initial (now Chubb), Kings, Northern Monitoring, Pointer, Romec, RVR, Southern Monitoring, UK Monitoring and Visual Verification.

2005

In 2005 WebWayOne was appointed as a principal Expert in alarm transmission systems by the BSIA. We represent the UK security industry within CENELEC working group WG5 for the interpretation and formulation of security signalling standards for Europe.

Also in 2005 our products won Best New Product at IFSEC and became one of only a handful of companies to win two Security Excellence Awards, winning the Best Security Innovation and Best IT Initiative categories.

Two major success were rolled out, with Dixons Group plc implementing 1300 WebWay 2424 systems across their PC World, Dixons, Curry's and The Link brands and The Post Office deploying over 800 GPRS-PSTN systems (an estate that has grown to over 2000 systems to date and growing at around 600 systems per annum at least).

“Using WebWay 2424, we eliminated the annual charges for 1,300 telephone lines from our branch network. The savings allowed us to invest in dual path signalling using IP and GPRS technologies. Since installing the system we have deterred seven burglary attempts on our major brands, the cost of which would have been between £50,000 and £100,000 per event.”
Paul Harte, Operational Support Services, Dixons Group plc.

2006

WebWayOne supplied more leading retailers with IP signalling solutions than any other provider, including Boots, Office Angels, Border Books, and Leeds Building Society.

November 2006 saw us awarded a major contract to supply ISS of Finland with in excess of 8,000 WebWay 2424 Broadway Transceivers and our WebWay 2424 Gateway Server architecture. The contract will see ISS switch its customer base from an analogue line monitoring system to digital IP and GPRS technology, delivering intruder and fire alarm data directly to fire and police stations across the country. The complex quadruple redundant receiver architecture was implemented during the summer of 2007, and major roll out began in January 2008.

2007

Business expansion continued in 2007 as we acquired additional premises in Newbury for Customer Service, Sales and Training. WebWay 2424 was also independently tested and certified to meet the requirements of Grade 4 Intruder and Type 1 Fire applications.

Our unique solution for GPRS installations using Multi Service Provider SIMS was released in conjunction with our GPRS service provider partner O2. WebWay 2424 Broadway is the first signalling system to offer a dual path signalling solution that has no additional ongoing charges when using our multi service provider SIM.

Also June saw the launch of our WebWay Installation Partner Program to train, support and assist installation companies with the marketing and promotion of WebWay solutions.

During this year, WebWayOne has also been a key contributor to the IPCres Guidance for IP signalling documents Part 1 and 2 and was a contributor to the BSIA Code of Practise for the installation of IP signalling solutions.

Our customer base expanded to include such additional brand names as Laura Ashley, Rolands Pharmacy, Screwfix, Mothercare, O2 Retail, and Southern Co-Op.
Our international business has expanded with 1000 systems installed in Norway and expansion of our sales to ISS in Finland and a further 500 systems to Iceland.

2008

2008 has seen the expansion of our roll out to national alarm receiving centres. Our service is available from ADT, AIM, Chubb, CPS, EMCS, G4S, Kings, Pointer, Romec, RVR, Secom, Securitas UK, SSS, UK Monitoring, Visual Verification and Yeoman. The release of Command Centre software is providing installers with real time performance reports on all WebWay 2424 installations. We expect to have delivered more than 10,000 systems by the end of the year.
